Gary Illyes (Google’s Webmaster Trends Analyst) stated on Twitter today the next google penguin update is due to roll out within weeks. At the very latest, it should launch by the end of this quarter.
Related to google Penguin update, this can termed as the most relevant news we have heard from the search engine giant. Gary Illyes was unwilling to reveal the exact time of the roll out, but has provided an idea to the SEO experts who want to start preparations for the Penguin update in advance.
For more than a year, we haven’t seen a Penguin update which was officially rolled out by Google. In October 2014, Penguin 3.0 was officially rolled out, but only affected around 1% search queries.
