All 150 Clarksburg Chamber of Commerce members celebrated as it recently launched its new and improved website, charting a new future for the promising networking organization of northern Montgomery County.
The new site has a fresh new look designed to improve visitors’ experience using the Chamber’s resources, while being seamlessly integrated with the member database, according to Ibi Teleki Sofillas, president of the board of directors of the chamber. Visitors will be able to locate legislative resources, business directories, events calendar and even their member profile, she said. Improvements are continually being made, including a new section with blog posts that will highlight local legislative and community updates important to the business community, as well as local businesses’ own updates and news.
The website’s new address is https://clarksburgchamberofcommerce.org, and includes more security features such as SSL encrypted sessions. The prior URL www.clarksburgchamberofcommerce.com redirects to the new site.
The new website layout features two navigation bars. The top bar has quick links that direct to the member portal, a directory of chamber members, regional events calendar, and general information about the chamber.
The main navigation bar directs users to six main sections with subsections: about the chamber, membership, advocacy resources, committee information, events and information about hosting an event, and the newsroom, which features press releases and a photo gallery.
Auxilium Technology, Inc., a Web Development and Digital Marketing firm based in Rockville, MD, was selected as the chamber’s trusted business partner in developing their new website.
“Auxilium knows what it means to be the best, as demonstrated by their five-star client rating. They have been an engaged member of the chamber for many years, and we are thrilled to recognize them with this partnership,” said Teleki Sofillas. In recognition for the many hours spent developing the chamber’s new website, the chamber awarded a three-year corporate sponsorship to Auxilium Technology.
“Giving back is part of the Auxilium Technology culture. Our approach and commitment to important organizations enhances our working lives by keeping us engaged and by providing opportunities for us to contribute towards it. We believe in the Clarksburg Chamber of Commerce and that together we make a big difference in the community,” Ed Samuels, Chief Technology Officer at Auxilium Technology said.
People now have more information at their fingertips with smartphones than ever before. The new site is designed to show up correctly on any mobile phones. With the chamber’s exponential growth in the past two years, members needed information about their business networking organization at their fingertips. The new site with its Responsive Design and engaging content will serve this growing community for many years ahead.
“With the new site, we’re building the story about all this region has to offer,” Teleki Sofillas said.
